Deserted house

This nice mansion used to be a restaurant in the town next to where I leave. It's been empty for years now. Such a shame.

That looks like one of those mansions the owners gave up because they could no longer support the place. It is a shame. You have to be rich these days to live in the suburbs of any American city and I guess it is that way all over the world.

Nice shot.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. It's me!

we loose something as a society when we let such treasures slip through our fingers

I suppose the cost of upkeep on such places is too prohibitive.

It's so sad to see these beautiful mansions so neglected. It is not expensive to buy one but unfortunately it takes lots of money to maintain it. Every time I pass by one of these beautiful mansions or chateaux, I always wonder about their story.
